STATEMENT OF FAITH

1. ScripturE

We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. They are the final rule for faith, life, and practice, fully sufficient for knowing God and walking in obedience to Him.
2 Timothy 3.16-17; Psalm 19.7-11; 2 Peter 1.20-21; Hebrews 4.12

2. The Triune God

We believe in the one true God, eternally existing in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—each equally divine, sharing the same essence, worthy of equal honor, and perfectly united in mission.
Deuteronomy 6.4; Matthew 28.19; 2 Corinthians 13.14; Ephesians 4.4-6

3. The Father

We believe God the Father is the source of all life, the creator and sustainer of heaven and earth, who sovereignly rules over history with wisdom, justice, and love.
Genesis 1.1; Psalm 103.19; Isaiah 40.28; Matthew 6.9

4. The Son

We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died a substitutionary death for sinners, rose bodily from the grave, and ascended to the Father’s right hand where He reigns as Lord.
John 1.1, 14; Philippians 2.5-11; 1 Corinthians 15.3-4; Hebrews 1.1-4

5. The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, gives new birth, unites believers to Christ, indwells and empowers the Church for holy living, service, and witness, and seals believers for the day of redemption.
John 14.16-17; John 16.7-8; Acts 1.8; Ephesians 1.13-14; Titus 3.5-6

6. Humanity

We believe all people are created in the image of God with dignity and worth. Through Adam’s disobedience, humanity fell into sin and is now alienated from God, spiritually dead, and unable to save ourselves apart from divine grace.
Genesis 1.26-27; Romans 3.23; Romans 5.12; Ephesians 2.1-3

7. Salvation

We believe salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. In Christ, God justifies, redeems, adopts, and sanctifies all who repent and believe. This salvation is received apart from works, yet results in a life of obedience and holiness.
Ephesians 2.8-9; Romans 3.24-26; Galatians 2.16; Titus 2.11-14

8. The Church

We believe the Church is the people of God, the body of Christ, and the temple of the Spirit. The Church exists to glorify God through worship, teaching, fellowship, prayer, and sacrificial mission in the world.
Acts 2.42-47; Ephesians 2.19-22; 1 Peter 2.9-10; Colossians 1.18

9. The Ordinances

We believe baptism is the outward sign of new life in Christ and entry into His covenant people, and that the Lord’s Supper is given by Jesus to His Church as a remembrance of His death, a participation in His body and blood, and a foretaste of His coming kingdom.
Matthew 28.19; Romans 6.3-4; 1 Corinthians 11.23-26; Acts 2.38-41

10. The Kingdom of God

We believe the kingdom of God has broken into history in the person and work of Jesus Christ, is advancing in the world through the Church, and will be fully realized when Christ returns to make all things new.
Mark 1.14-15; Luke 17.20-21; Romans 14.17; Revelation 11.15; Revelation 21.1-5

11. Christian Living

We believe followers of Jesus are called to walk in love, pursue holiness, act justly, love mercy, and bear faithful witness to Christ in word and deed by the power of the Spirit.
Micah 6.8; Matthew 5.14-16; John 13.34-35; Galatians 5.22-25; 1 Peter 1.15-16

12. Marriage & Family

We believe God designed marriage as a covenant union between one man and one woman, reflecting Christ’s relationship with the Church, and that family is the primary context for nurture and discipleship.
Genesis 2.24; Matthew 19.4-6; Ephesians 5.22-33; Deuteronomy 6.6-7

13. Mission

We believe the Church is sent into the world to proclaim the gospel, make disciples of all nations, seek justice, love mercy, and embody the kingdom of God in word and deed.
Matthew 28.18-20; John 20.21; Acts 1.8; 2 Corinthians 5.18-20

14. The Last Things

We believe Jesus Christ will return personally, visibly, and gloriously to judge the living and the dead, to raise the righteous and the unrighteous, and to bring His people into the eternal joy of the new heavens and new earth, where God will dwell with His people forever.
Matthew 24.30-31; Acts 1.10–11; 1 Thessalonians 4.16-17; Revelation 21.1-4

APOSTLE’S CREED

I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again;
he ascended into heaven,
he is seated at the right hand of the Father,
and he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.

NICENE CREED

We believe in one God,
the Father almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all things visible and invisible.

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God,
begotten from the Father before all ages,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made;
of the same essence as the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation
he came down from heaven;
he became incarnate by the Holy Spirit and the virgin Mary,
and was made human.
He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered and was buried.
The third day he rose again, according to the Scriptures.
He ascended to heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again with glory
to judge the living and the dead.
His kingdom will never end.

And we believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Lord, the giver of life.
He proceeds from the Father [and the Son],
and with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified.
He spoke through the prophets.

We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We affirm one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look forward to the resurrection of the dead,
and to life in the world to come. Amen.
